Nan Young Carey is a fine art photographer who received her BFA in photography from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and studied in workshops throughout the country. Nan taught photography at secondary and college levels for eleven years. She has exhibited work in many juried, invitational and solo shows in the Carolinas and Georgia. Her work is owned by private collectors as well as corporations and museums. Carey’s photographs have been published in B&W Digital Magazine, Focus Magazine, Charleston Magazine, Sporting Classic Magazine and others.
Nan Young Carey creates her compositions using the analog process. Simply stated, she is a purist who believes strongly in the fluidness of film and the integrity of the hand printed silver gelatin work. After capturing images on film, Nan develops and prints each limited edition piece by hand in her studio/darkroom.

Douglas Cutting is an experienced outdoorsman and award-winning writer. Many of his published writings come from his experiences in the wilds, woods and water of the coastal southeast. His stories, essays and poems have appeared in Garden & Gun, Sporting Classics, Charleston Magazine, Gray’s Sporting Journal and others.
Douglas holds a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College; a master’s in creative writing from University of North Carolina, Wilmington; a U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license and real estate broker licenses in North and South Carolina. Cutting is the owner of Blue Wing Properties. In the last six years, he has brokered more than 50,000 acres of conservation and sporting properties in the Carolinas.
